At 2.53pm on Sunday afternoon (12th) Magpas Doctor Sophia De Maria and Paramedic Alex Pearce arrived at the B645 near St Neots, via the rapid response vehicle, to treat a teenager injured in a collision involving three vehicles.
The Magpas team assessed a young man, who had sustained serious head injuries. He was anaesthetised at the scene (providing him with A&E level care). The team then accompanied him by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where he was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance landed at the scene to treat a second man, who was also taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Cambridgeshire Police, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, and an EEAST paramedic crew were also in attendance.
