At 9:30pm last night (9th) Magpas Doctor Jono Ritson and Paramedic Alex Pearce arrived at the A5199 near Creaton, Northamptonshire via the Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat two patients with multiple injuries who had been involved in a 3x vehicle collision.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed a woman (in her 50’s) who had sustained abdominal injuries, and worked alongside an EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew before she was taken to Northampton General Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The Magpas doctor and paramedic team also assessed a man (in his 20’s) who had sustained head injuries. They gave him enhanced pain relief at the scene (providing him with A&E level care) before accompanying the patient to University Hospital Coventry. He was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival at hospital.

The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS), an EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew, the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme, Northamptonshire Police and the Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
