A428 St Neots, road traffic incident – Magpas Helimedix called to scene

At 8.02pm last night (26th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Scott, Doctor Simon Lewis, and Paramedic Dan Phillips) arrived on the A428 near St Neots via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – following a road traffic incident involving a motorbike which left the road and ended up in a ditch.

The Helimedix assessed a man (in his 40’s) who had suffered injuries to his upper body, and whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew, provided him with pain relief. The Magpas team, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service Crews and an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew helped to safely move the patient into the back of a land ambulance. The Helimedix then accompanied the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a stable condition.
