At 8.49am this morning (17th), Magpas Doctor Simon Lewis and Paramedics Alex Pearce and Dan Cody landed beside the A428 near St Neots, via the Magpas air ambulance, to treat a man whose motorcycle had been involved in a collision with a car.
The Magpas medical team assessed the man (in his 30s), who had sustained serious leg injuries. The patient was sedated (providing him with A&E level care at the scene). He was then accompanied by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival.
The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Matt Tacon and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.
Cambridgeshire Policeand an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
