A428 near Croxton, road traffic incident – Magpas Helimedix called to scene
At 12:30pm yesterday (15th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Ali Hieatt and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived on the A428 near Croxton via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW, after a lorry left the road and ended up in a ditch.
The Helimedix assessed a man (in his 50’s) who suffered lower body injuries. The Team sedated the patient (providing enhanced A&E level care), before working alongside the emergency services to safely move the man into a land ambulance. The Helimedix then accompanied the patient by road to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the man was in a stable condition.
Magpas Helimedix Doctor Ali Hieatt says, “We wish our patient a swift recovery. All the emergency services worked well together to enable a successful technical rescue.”
An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew, Fire and Rescue Services and the Police were also on the scene.
