A14, Alconbury lorry & car collision – Magpas Helimedix attend
At 9:58am (1st), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Phil Morgan, Paramedic Simon Standen and Dr Ali Tompkins) arrived at the northbound carriageway of the A14, near Alconbury, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – after aserious road traffic incident between a lorry and a car (the lorry rolled onto the car and then into a nearby ditch).A man (in his 40’) was trapped inside one of the vehicles, but managed to get himself out.
The Magpas team assessed the patient, fortunately his injuries were not life-threatening. The man was then taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, where on arrival he was in a stable condition.
An EEAST Ambulance Crew, a Rapid Response Car and an Officer were also present, alongside a Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Crew and the Police. All the Emergency Services worked well together.
