At 7.02am this morning (2nd), Magpas Doctor Andy Lindsay and Paramedic Alex Pearce arrived near Wisbech, via the rapid response vehicle, to treat a man who had been seriously injured when the van he was travelling in rolled over.

The Magpas team assessed the man (in his 20s) who had sustained serious chest injuries. They anaesthetised him at the scene (giving him A&E level care). The team then accompanied him by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where he was in a very serious but stable condition upon arrival.

EEAST Ambulance Service paramedics treated a further two people who had been injured, and assessed five who had escaped with minor injuries.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service and Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
