A1, near St Neots, woman injured in 2x vehicle collision – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 3.44pm on Thursday afternoon (19th), Magpas Doctor Rupert Hurry and Paramedic Alex Pearce landed beside the A1 near St Neots, via the Magpas air ambulance, to treat a woman injured in a collision involving two vehicles.

The Magpas medical team assessed the woman (in her 40s), who had sustained leg injuries. The patient was sedated and measures put in place to protect her injuries (providing her with A&E level care at the scene). She was then taken by land ambulance to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, where she was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Matt Tacon and Crewmember Rob Davies.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew, Cambridgeshire Police, and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
