March man goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Helimedix fly to him
At 12:30pm this afternoon (21st), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Foster and Paramedic Dan Phillips) arrived in central March, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a man (in his 60’s) went into cardiac arrest, whilst he was in a car (his wife was driving).
An EEAST Ambulance Crew provided advanced life support for the patient. The Helimedix then gave the man specialist A&E level care before accompanying him, in a land ambulance, to Papworth Hospital (monitoring his condition all the way). On arrival at the hospital, the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.
Two EEAST Ambulance Rapid Response Paramedics were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
