Magpas Air Ambulance is a growing organisation with opportunities occasionally available in both emergency medicine and in clinical, administrative and executive support roles. Positions for doctors and paramedics will be advertised here and on the NHS Jobs website.

Role: Individual Giving Officer

Salary:                £22,000 – £28,000 per annum
Contract:           Full time; permanent
Location:           Centenary House, St Mary’s Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3PE with hybrid working
Reporting to:    Senior Individual Giving Officer

  • To maximise sustainable income generation by managing the development and implementation of
    donor acquisition, retention and stewardship activity
  • To be responsible for the project management and production of both on and offline individual giving
    campaigns, appeals and materials including the effective use of individual giving data and management
    of third party suppliers
  • To use and develop the fundraising database to effectively monitor, analyse and interpret individual
    giving performance and inform the growth of the individual giving income stream

Project Management

  • Working alongside our lottery partner to support all aspects of the Magpas Lottery programme
  • Manage individual giving fundraising campaigns including raffle and seasonal appeals
  • Manage and develop supporter communications including welcome, newsletter and post appeal
    communications
  • Develop and execute regular giving products and appeals Produce and execute legacy and in memoriam
    marketing plans
  • Ensure all individual giving activity complies with the appropriate regulation and legislation and delivers
    an excellent experience for supporters

    Data Management & Reporting
  • Manage the selection and segmentation of individual giving data for campaign purposes
  • Ensure accurate and timely import and export of donor data to ensure that supporter records are up to
    date at all times
  • Use campaign data to track and report on effectiveness of activity, attrition and inform decision making
    and future planning
  • Identify and develop the systems and processes necessary to deliver effective individual giving activity
    including the website and email, fundraising database, data analysis tools and social media
  • Strategy & Planning
  • Work alongside the Senior Individual Giving Officer and Director of Fundraising to produce and execute
    an effective and sustainable individual giving plan in order to grow income from new and existing donors
  • Create and implement effective donor journeys in order to maximise the engagement and retention of
    individual supporters
  • Identify potential new individual giving audiences and implement acquisition strategies in order to grow
    the individual giving donor base.
  • Work across the organisation to champion and promote individual giving and to implement excellent
    supporter care
  • Budget management, forecasting and tracking

Essential

  • Proven experience of managing individual giving activity, appeals and retention communications to
    achieve income targets across mail, phone, email, social media and through face to face fundraising
  • Experience of producing compelling supporter creative and fundraising messages
  • Experience of data selection and segmentation and the effective use of supporter data for campaign
    purposes
  • Good knowledge and experience of using a fundraising database for comprehensive reporting and
    analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with third party suppliers including creative agencies, printers and
    fulfilment house.
  • Proven ability to work closely with internal team members Communications Supporter Care and Finance
    departments
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work collaboratively and a good team player
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate consistently and effectively across all
    relevant areas of knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work to meet given deadlines
  • Self-sufficient and confident to make decisions within the boundaries of the role
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt ways if working to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Availability to represent Magpas Air Ambulance at events if required

    Desirable
  • Educated to degree level
  • Full Driving Licence with own transport
  • Understanding of online marketing and social media strategies

Role: Marketing Manager

Salary:                £35,500 – £41,250 per annum
Contract:            Full time; permanent
Location:            Centenary House, St Mary’s Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3PE with hybrid working
Reporting to:     Director of Fundraising & Marketing
Line Manager:   Marketing & Communications Officer 

  • To grow the Magpas Air Ambulance brand and supporter base within key audiences and contribute to the
    achievement of fundraising objectives through the production and execution of annual marketing plans
  • To project manage and produce both content and marketing & corporate collateral from concept through
    to launch, across all channels

Project Management

  • Produce and execute marketing campaigns to develop the fundraising events, products, appeals
    ensuring that KPIs are met
  • Project manage the production of all marketing collateral
  • Produce and circulate key messages, service statistics and internal communications as required
  • Work with internal stakeholders and media outlets to produce press releases and PR campaigns
  • Lead on the organisation, planning and delivery of corporate events
  • Lead on the generation of Magpas Air Ambulance case studies and stories and the relationship
    management of new and former patients to support marketing and fundraising

    Analysis & Reporting
  • Use campaign data to track and report on effectiveness of activity and inform decision making and
    future planning
  • Use website and google analytics to improve user experience and supporter journeys through digital
    channels
  • Produce monthly reports for Executive Leadership Team and Trustee review
  • Use research and analysis to identify new and potential key audiences and implement marketing &
    communication strategies to grow the Magpas Air Ambulance supporters and stakeholders
  • Manage the market budget including budget setting, forecasting and tracking

    Strategy & Planning
  • Work across the charity to produce and execute annual marketing plans that deliver organisational
    objectives including the sustainable growth of fundraising income
  • Responsible for the Magpas Air Ambulance digital presence, developing the website, social media
    channels and email programme through the production of compelling and timely content
  • Provide marketing insight, research, planning and support to all departments as required
  • Effective management of the Marketing & Communications Officer

Cleaner

Salary:                £9.68 per hour
Contract:           10 hours per week – 2 hours per day
Location:           Wyton Air Base & Centenary House, Huntingdon
Reporting to:    Director of Operations

Magpas Air Ambulance is a lifesaving charity based in Huntingdon, operating 24/7 across the East of England.   With exciting plans for development and growth, we now have an opportunity for someone to join us as our cleaner.  Reporting directly into the Director of Operations, the role will play a key part in ensuring both our headquarters and operating base are clean and tidy.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working cleaner who is able to make a tangible difference to Magpas Air Ambulance and our facilities.

Responsible for ensuring the two charity sites are cleaned and maintained to a high standard

Use cleaning supplies and equipment, keep the interior of the buildings looking clean, tidy and
professional

  • Ensure cleaning of toilets and toilet areas and replenishment of paper towels, toilet rolls and other
    disposables
  • Ensure kitchen areas are kept clean including all kitchen cupboards and equipment
  • Responsible for keeping a running inventory of all cleaning supplies and submitting purchasing
    requests when supplies get low
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by line manager

Caretaker

Role Title:          Caretaker
Salary:                £18,875 pro-rata
Contract:           30 hours per week – 1 position available
Location:           Wyton Air Base & Centenary House, Huntingdon
Reporting to:     Director of Operations

Magpas Air Ambulance is a lifesaving charity based in Huntingdon, operating 24/7 across the East of England.   With exciting plans for development and growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us as our Caretaker.  Reporting directly into the Director of Operations, the roles will play a key part in ensuring both our headquarters and operating base are well-maintained, safe, and secure.  We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working and experienced caretaker who is able to make a tangible difference to Magpas Air Ambulance and our facilities.

  • Responsible for ensuring the two charity sites are well-maintained, safe and secure
  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
  • Responsible for general up keep of external areas and grounds maintenance
  • General porterage duties and moving of furniture and event equipment

Office and Building Maintenance

  • Respond to repair requests promptly and in a professional manner, undertaking maintenance tasks
    as required
  • Responsible for keeping a running inventory of supplies and submitting purchasing requests when
    supplies get low
  • Maintain library of user manuals for office furniture and fixtures that can be referred to when needed
  • Perform routine tasks based on a schedule created by the facility officer/manager
  • Accepting deliveries and movement of furniture, supplies, deliveries between sites
  • Monitoring air conditioning and heating levels
  • Window cleaning and exterior building works, painting, staining woodwork
  • Use equipment to keep the exteriors of the buildings looking clean, tidy and professional
  • Maintain all outside spaces, including car parks, parking barriers, grass cutting, flower beds
  • General maintenance and cleaning of charity support vehicles
  • Assist with the moving and handling of heavy items including operational equipment, events
    equipment and office furniture
  • Ensure meeting rooms, training facilities are set and prepared for presentations and business
    meetings
  • Ensure hangar is tidy and clean at all times under instruction from aviation crew

    Facilities Management
  • Issuing car parking fobs and ensuring parking spaces are used correctly
  • Oversee and/or conduct annual PAT testing of electrical equipment (training provided)
  • Ensure all fire signage and equipment is legally compliant and monitored and recorded
  • Ensure security alarms and CCTV are periodically tested and logged
  • Responding to alarm activations (including possible, occasional out of hours)
  • Setting up rooms for meetings and events
  • Loading van for bi annual clinical training courses and fundraising events
  • Support fundraising team in event preparation and stock management
