Virtual Learning Environment

Magpas has developed a virtual learning environment (VLE) in conjunction with the University Hospital of Leicester. This Virtual Learning Environment is password protected and holds all the course data for Magpas training courses (link to training) Access to the VLE is restricted to the duration of the training an agreed short period before and after the training course. Magpas courses are aimed at professionals involved in pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine.

Each successful applicant to a Magpas course or current Helimedix member has unique access to the Virtual Learning Environment, this allows them to access pre course reading, self-assessment tests, and associated literature. The Magpas Helimedix Medical Director then has access to review and monitor their progress.

There are online discussion boards for team members on many topics, often based around current issues. The discussion boards are completely confidential and allow open discussion.

The Virtual Learning Environment also allows access to the current duty rota for Helimedix teams.
