The very impressive sum of £4,000 has been raised over 2011 for Magpas – The Emergency Medical Charity by Members of Thorney Golf Club in 2011.
Alan Clack, Club Captain explains why he and the Lady & Seniors Captain chose to support the charity, “Thorney Golf Club has a long tradition in supporting local charities and worthy causes and Magpas provides incredible lifesaving services which could be of benefit for the local community and members of the golf club.
Debbie Florence Magpas Fundraising Manager said, “All the team at Magpas would like to say a huge thank you to all of the members of Thorney Golf Club for being true life savers. The funds raised by the club this year will help make a critical difference at medical emergencies night and day. Our medics are incredibly busy at this time of year, with the night’s drawing in and the cold weather upon us, the medical expertise Magpas Helimedix can bring to the scene of emergencies becomes even more vital”.
