The Magpas Helimedix team (Dr Fiona Bowles and Volunteer Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived at a hotel in St Ives in minutes (at 2:50 this afternoon), after a woman in her 20’s suffered a severe asthma attack.
The Magpas team gave the woman immediate A&E level care and they have just arrived at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, having escorted her there in a land ambulance. Her condition has been described as critical.
An EEAST Ambulance crew, a first responder and a Paramedic Response Unit were also at the scene – there was good communication between everyone.
