At 4:54pm yesterday evening (8th September), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Lorraine Greasley and Volunteer Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived at Bourges Boulevard in Peterborough, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A motorbike was involved in a collision with some road furniture.
A man (in his 20’s) suffered hip and pelvic pain together with a minor head injury. The Magpas team administered pain relief, put his pelvis into a splint (working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Crew) and they then accompanied the patient to Peterborough City Hospital in a Land Ambulance. On arrival at the hospital, he was in a stable but not serious condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Magpas team to the scene was: Pilot Richard Boswell and Air Observer Steve Hunwicks.
