Royston, woman suffers serious allergic reaction - Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 12.46pm this afternoon (15th), Magpas Doctor Andrew Lindsay and Paramedic Dan Read landed in Royston, via the Magpas Air Ambulance, to treat a woman who had suffered a serious allergic reaction after being stung by bees.

The Magpas medical team assessed the woman (in her 30s) and provided her with advanced pain relief, antihistamines and anti-sickness medication.

She was then taken by land ambulance to Lister Hospital, Stevenage in a stable condition.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Rob Davies.

An EEAST paramedic crew were also in attendance.
