Bedford, cyclist vs car - Magpas Air Ambulance called to the scene

At 7.01am this morning (10th), Magpas Doctor Scott Knapp and Paramedic Dan Read arrived in Bedford via the Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a cyclist involved in a collision with a car.

The Magpas medical team assessed a woman (in her 60’s) who had sustained a serious leg injury. They sedated her at the scene (providing her with A&E level care) before accompanying her by land ambulance to Bedford Hospital. She was in a stable condition upon arrival at hospital.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Bedfordshire Police were also in attendance.

St Neots, van and bicycle collision - Magpas Air Ambulance called to scene

At 1.45pm on Tuesday afternoon (31st), Magpas Doctor Drew Welch and Paramedic Dan Read arrived in St Neots, via the rapid response vehicle, to treat a woman injured when her bicycle was involved in a collision with a van.

The Magpas team assessed the woman (in her 50s) who had sustained head injuries. She was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital by EEAST Ambulance Service where she was in a stable condition upon arrival.

Cambridgeshire Police and were also in attendance.

Peterborough, woman injured in cycling incident – Magpas flies to her

At 5.43pm on Saturday evening (13th), the Magpas Air Ambulance landed in Peterborough to treat a woman who had come off her bicycle.

The Magpas Doctor and Paramedic assessed the woman (in her 30s) who had suffered multiple injuries to her chest and neck. The patient was then flown to Peterborough City Hospital where she was in a stable condition on arrival.

The Helicopter team who flew the Magpas Doctor and Paramedic to the scene were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.

The EEAST Ambulance Service and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were also in attendance.
