Nr Rushden, 2x car collision - Magpas Helimedix called to scene

At 9.38am this morning (14th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Leigh Bissett and Paramedic Dan Cody) arrived near Rushden via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW, following a road traffic collision involving two cars.

The Helimedix assessed a woman (in her 40’s) who had fortunately suffered minor injuries. The patient was then taken to Kettering General Hospital, in a stable condition, by an East Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew.

Fire and Rescue Services and the Police were also on the scene.

Nr Peterborough, quad bike incident - Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene

Nr Peterborough, quad bike incident - Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene

At 12.06pm yesterday (13th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Keir Rutherford) arrived near Peterborough via the Magpas Air Ambulance, after a man (in his 50’s) suffered a fall from a quad bike.

The Helimedix assessed the patient who had suffered shoulder and chest injuries. The Magpas team sedated the man (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before flying him to Peterborough City Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene/ the Helimedix and the patient to hospital was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Adam Bright.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew and HART were also present.

Magpas fly to Peterborough construction worker

At 9.24am this morning (9th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Zoe Smeed and Paramedic Jo Lambert) arrived at a building site in central Peterborough via the Magpas Air Ambulance, after a man (in his 20’s) suffered a fall whilst working on some scaffolding.

HART and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service Crews worked together to safely remove the patient from the site and into the back of a land ambulance. The Magpas team then assessed the patient who had suffered an ankle injury. Fortunately the injury was not serious and so the man was allowed to go home.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew were also present.

At 9.30pm last night (8th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah McNeilly and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived near Kettering via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW, following a road traffic collision involving two cars.

The Helimedix assessed a very young male patient who fortunately did not suffer serious injuries. He was then taken to Kettering General Hospital, in a stable condition, by land ambulance. Four other patients were also assessed and treated at the scene by East Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews.

Fire and Rescue Services and the Police were also present.

The Helimedix assessed a man (in his 60’s) who had suffered suspected leg and pelvic injuries. The Magpas team sedated the patient (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before accompanying him to Peterborough City Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a stable condition.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew and the Police were also on the scene.
