Bedford, man injured in 2x vehicle collision – Magpas flies to him

At 4.53pm on Tuesday afternoon (23rd), Magpas Doctor Ali Hieatt and Paramedic Chris Hawkins landed in Bedford via the air ambulance at the scene of a collision involving two vehicles.

The Magpas team assessed a man (in his 20s), a passenger in one of the vehicles, who had suffered head injuries. The team anaesthetised the patient (providing him with A&E level care) before accompanying him by land ambulance to Luton and Dunstable Hospital, where he was in a stable condition on arrival.

EEAST Ambulance Service crews assessed and treated other patients at the scene.

The Helicopter team who flew to the incident were Pilot Andy Figg and Crew Member Simon Amos.

Bedfordshire Police and Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.

King’s Lynn, man injured in 2x vehicle collision – Magpas called to scene

At 9.30pm on Saturday night (20th), a Magpas Doctor and Paramedic arrived in King’s Lynn via the rapid response vehicle to treat a man injured in a collision involving two vehicles.

The Magpas team assessed the man (in his 30s) who had suffered pelvic injuries. The team provided the patient with medication to prevent bleeding before being taken by the EEAST Ambulance Service Crew, in a serious but stable condition, to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Norfolk Accident Rescue Service, East Anglian Air Ambulance, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and Norfolk Police were also in attendance.

Nr Ramsey, woman injured in 2x vehicle collision – Magpas called to scene

At 10.42pm on Saturday night (20th), a Magpas Doctor and Paramedic arrived near Ramsey via the rapid response vehicle to treat a woman injured in a collision involving two vehicles.

The Magpas team assessed the woman (in her 40s) who had suffered chest injuries. The team provided the patient with pain relief before accompanying her by land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital where she was in a serious but stable condition on arrival.

Other patients at the scene were treated by EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedics.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue and Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.

Stevenage, man seriously injured in vehicle collision – Magpas flies to scene

At 4.55pm on Saturday afternoon (20th), the Magpas Air Ambulance landed near Stevenage to treat a driver who had been seriously injured when his car left the road.

Magpas Doctor Peter Holden and Paramedic Dan Cody treated the man who had suffered head injuries. The team anaesthetised him at the scene (providing A&E level specialist care) before flying him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The patient was in a serious but stable condition on arrival.

The Helicopter team who flew the Magpas Doctor and Paramedic to the scene were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Lee Kennedy.

Hertfordshire Police, EEAST Ambulance Service and Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.

Chatteris, two seriously injured in three vehicle collision – Magpas flies to scene

At 8.35am on Tuesday morning (16th), the Magpas Air Ambulance landed in Chatteris to treat two people who had been injured in a road traffic collision involving three vehicles.

Magpas Doctor Maria Smith and Paramedic Dan Read assessed a woman (in her 80s) who had suffered a serious leg injury. The team sedated the woman (providing A&E level specialist care) before accompanying her by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The patient was in a stable condition on arrival.

A second patient had also suffered serious injuries in the collision and was treated by EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedics.

The Helicopter team who flew the Magpas Doctor and Paramedic to the scene were Pilot Andy Figg and Crew Member George Phillips.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue and Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.
